The main line of the first phase of Qingdao Metro (Line 3) is approximately 24.909 kilometers long and is all underground. A total of 22 stations were set up with an average station distance of approximately 1.166 kilometers a maximum station distance of 1.582 kilometers and a minimum station distance of 0.755 kilometers. A vehicle base will be established in Anshun near Qingdao North Railway Station at the end of the line. A control center will be set up near the subway station. The project started construction in 2009 and was completed and opened to traffic in 2015.
